Just a Few Reasons
When Jesus told his disciples and, by extension, us, to go into all the world in Matthew 28:19, He didn’t give us a long list of personal benefits of our going, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t benefits!
That’s how good God is to us. When we faithfully obey the things that He’s commanded us to do, even if they don’t make sense to us, we are blessed more than we could imagine.
Here’s a short, and by no means exhaustive, list of the benefits of going on mission trips:
- You meet new people
- It teaches you to depend on God
- You forge lasting relationships
- You grow closer to God
- You become more vulnerable
- You learn to serve
- You learn to place others before yourself
- God supernaturally changes you
- The Gospel becomes more real for you
- Materialism fades
- Perspective is gained
- Your worldview expands
- You learn to slow down
- Your faith will grow
I’m so excited to share all about the work we get to be a part of in Honduras this Sunday! Please join me in praying for the souls of all of the people that we’ll be in contact with on the trip. Please pray that God will prepare their hearts and minds to be open.
Much love!
